Lighting and movement experiment #4. This is the final installment, and personal favorite, of this experimental series. Very little post work done in PSCS2.
Thanks for being patient and for allowing me the freedom to try new things and post them here. I highly suggest the same to all photographers...especially those that may be in a slump as I was.
Suggestion: NO BORDER. I love the composition of this one and I think the border distracts a little bit, but again, that's just me. I used to be the Queen of Thickie Borders, I don't know what happened.
But my gosh, the movement and the natural textures created from the blur are seriously amazing.
this is my fav as well. i was just thinking about what ursylla suggested about no border. at first i thought hell no, the border's great. but then i thought about it again. maybe she's right. it's such a great composition that the border may in fact distract a little. i've even started to rethink my own borders as well..hehe. anyway, great work my friend!
She's usually right about everything lol (except George Bush) And I've thought about it as well. It would probably look fine without the border but on my PC it still shows up white and you can't see the border anyway. I'm torn on this one but I do think I'll start removing borders in the future. Perhaps we can start a "No Borders" movement on DA with Ursylla at the helm! Thank ya bro!
I can see why this is your personal The smeared paint look reaches its apogee, yet with even greater contrast against the more 'photo'-like area. And something about the arrangement of hands and arm brings to mind Bacon's Three Studies for a Crucifixion.
